Floods leave 2,000 homeless in Bukedea District
Over two thousand people in Bukedea district have been left homeless following floods that hit parts of the district.
The flooding, which occurred after River Sironko burst its banks last evening, has been blamed on heavy rains as well as the delayed construction of a dam.
With more rains projected, local leaders are now calling on the Office of the Prime Minister to intervene in the matter.
