Police officers survive lynching after foiled armed robbery

KAMPALA.

Three police officers have survived being lynched after they were arrested by civilians in a foiled armed robbery on a Bidco Truck. This happend at Naluvule on Bombo Road in Luweero District.
One police detective attached to Bweyogerere Police Station was arrested.
The officer was wearing a police uniform although detectives aren't supposed to wear uniforms.
Two other suspects fled with Shs2m and they are currently on the run.
Savannah Police spokesman ASP Paul Kangave confirmed the arrest of the sole police officer and the hunt of two others.
The arrested officer is Detective Constable Ali Kubala attached to Bweyogerere Police Station.
The suspects trailed the truck from Kampala City and blocked the truck along the way. They broke into the safe after they handcuffed the three truck occupants.
