KAMPALA. Kyambogo University host Bugema University today in the first leg of their Pepsi University Football League semi-final in what will probably be their toughest game of the season.
Kyambogo are unbeaten this season but have drawn more than half of their games including both legs of their quarterfinal tie against defending champions Uganda Martyrs, which Kyambogo won via tha away goals rule.
In Bugema they face one of the highest scoring teams in the competition this season a situation that would worry many but coach Deo Sserwadda remains unnerved.
“The best form of defence is attack and for this game we are going all out for a win. There will be no sitting back. We are going to win the tie in the first leg just like KU,” Sserwadda said in reference to Kampala University’s win over Uganda Christian University in their quarter final tie.
“Bugema have a strong team with a very sharp striking line but we are going to keep them at bay by keeping the ball in their half,” he added.
His counterpart Medhi Nyanzi is meanwhile very optimistic about the tie against Kyambogo saying he has watched them play and knows their weaknesses.
“We have never met but I have watched Kyambogo play and I know how they play. They have a very good defensive line but just like we did against IUIU I know we shall also unlock Kyambogo’s defense and score,” Nyanzi said.
“Our team is ready and in great shape for the game. We are very motivated for the game because our target is making it to the finals.” Nyanzi added.
