Petie Wanok is yet to reach double figures as a topflight striker.

Nonetheless, KCCA manager Mike Mutebi believes the striker will add value to a KCCA side that is desperate to improve their goal scoring capacity.

Wanok together with winger Farouk Kawooya were unveiled by KCCA yesterday at the Philip Omondi stadium in Lugogo, the former on a six-month probation deal while Kawooya joins the ten time league winners on a two and half year deal.

“Most of the players we are working with are relying on their potential to deliver; they are not finished products,” Mutebi told Daily Monitor. “Wanok has been around for about four years and although he has not yet realized his full potential, this young man has potential. We must help him become the player we think he can be,” he added.

Wanok was ushered onto the scene by Maroons in 2012, managing two goals that season. He later joined Mukura in Rwanda scoring six goals in 11 appearances.
