Spanish La Liga
Atlético Madrid look set to be without one of their main strikers for the crucial showdown with Real Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano on today.
Alvaro Morata is set to miss the crunch derby against Real Madrid this weekend, after the Spanish striker was sent off in Atlético Madrid’s 2-0 win over Mallorca on Tuesday.
Strike partners Diego Costa and Joao Felix sealed Los Rojiblancos’ first victory since Eibar on 1 September, with respective goals coming in the 26th minute and 64th minute at the Iberostar Stadium.
But celebrations for Atlético’s travelling conitigent were dampened when Morata was given his marching orders by Alejandro Hernandez in the 77th minute, after the striker received two yellow cards in the space of two minutes, following arguments with Mallorca’s Xisco Campos and the referee.
With LaLiga set to suspend Morata for at least one game, Atléti coach Diego Simeone will be without one of his main strike men for the crucial showdown with Zinedine Zidane’s side at the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday – which will potentially be a battle between first and second in LaLiga. Although, Atlético will have the opportunity to appeal the decision.
Atléti’s city rivals currently sit top of LaLiga following the home win over Osasuna with the Colchoneros currently in second place with a 1st vs. 2nd duel on Saturday adding yet another layer of drama to this eagerly anticipated fixture.

Italian Serie A
Antonio Conte the Inter Milan manager says Alexis Sanchez is not ready to start since joining on loan from Manchester United in the summer.
The Chile forward ended a miserable 18-month spell at Old Trafford when he completed a season-long loan move to the San Siro at the end of August.
Inter have played four matches since Sanchez’s arrival but the
30-year-old has only made one substitute appearance in a 1-0 victory at home to Udinese earlier this month.
Tonight Inter hope to maintain their perfect start when they visit
bottom team Sampdoria. On Wednesday Inter beat Lazio 1-0 for their fifth win in as many matches. Midfielder Danilo D’Ambrosio scored the only goal after 23 minutes.

RB Leipzig and Schalke will meet on Saturday at Red Bull Arena in Leipzig for their game of the 6th round in the Bundesliga. The hosts are on top of the table with 13 points, while Schalke are not far behind, currently occupying the 5th spot with 10 points.
RB Leipzig are undefeated in the previous three meetings with Schalke, winning twice, and once finishing in a draw. Just one of the previous five encounters featured over 2,5 goals, while two witnessed goals at both ends.
Four matches have taken place in Leipzig, with each of the first three seeing goals scored by both sides and producing over 2,5, but the most recent one ended in a goalless draw.
