Students and administrators at Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) are living in fear after a mysterious letter was dropped at the Mbale campus threatening to burn down the institution buildings.

The letter was dropped at the Campus on January 13, 2020 and was seen by OC IUIU police post but the authors did not identify themselves.

According to the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Ms Rehema Kantono, the letter was addressed to OC IUIU police post.

“Be informed that as students of IUIU we are tired of the administrators who take university as their home or business. Several times students are victimised on good reasons and are chased,” letter reads in part.

“For us international students pay a lot of money, we shall show them in two weeks what it means not to respect students as partners,” the letter further reads.
