William Bwambale, the vice president Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) said they have no options but to go by the manager’s plea.

Kampala. Uganda’s top shooter Peace Proscovia might earn herself business class air travel during the Netball World Cup in hope of a hassle-free ride after it emerged her Australian team would not allow her enough time off league action to training with the rest of the team.

Proscovia’s manager Noeline Taurua complained that the player would be tired since she will have to travel more than 25 hours from Sunshine Coast in Australia.
Taura insisted that Proscovia would struggle for leg space in the second class and yet she often needs to wait for a long time for luggage. Since she will have just one week with her teammates, Taura appealed for the issue to be expedited.

William Bwambale, the vice president Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) said they have no options but to go by the manager’s plea.
The shooting sensation joined Australian league side from English Loughborough Lightning early this year. Proscovia and Nuba were excused from national team training in Uganda to cut costs. But Nelson Bogere, the She Cranes coach says failure of professional players to join the She Cranes for training may result to poor player coordination during World Cup. “I think this has been intended to disorganise the Ugandan team because our opponents know that Uganda relies so much on her professional shooters,” he said. Uganda was pitted in group D of the Netball World Cup alongside England, Scotland and Samoa.
