Tunisia presidential candidate Zammel sentenced to 12 years in prison, lawyer says

A Tunisian court sentenced presidential candidate Ayachi Zammel to 12 years in prison on Tuesday on charges of falsifying documents, his lawyer said.

It was the third prison sentence imposed on Zammel in two weeks, and was announced five days before the presidential election.
