Hannington’s mother becomes a housemate
A lot of stuff has been going on in the Big Brother All Stars house this week but the most dramatic was when Hannington’s mother Hon. Ruth Kavuma entered the Barn to stay with her son and Barn-mate Sammi.
The Kalangala Woman MP and former headmistress of Gayaza Girls’ School was welcomed into the Barn by her overwhelmed son. He laughed like a crazy boy as the pair chatted in Luganda, prompting Biggie to summon Mama to the Diary Session pronto.
Biggie cautioned her and told her to “strictly” speak English. But even after the warning, Mama Hannington almost aggravated the rules. “Eh, mpozzi bang’ambye twogere Lu-English lwoka (I’ve been told to speak English),” she exclaimed as she exited the Diary Room. However, she got into the swing so fast and she gave them a few tips on how to handle their tasks and their whole stay in the Barn.
Such a motherly contribution actually helped Hannington and Sammi perform well during their tasks. Clearly enjoying the familiar face, Hannington and Sammi’s spirits seem to have been lifted by Mama’s stay. Hannington has clearly been calmer and well-behaved, with not even a curse word having escaped his lips since his mom sauntered in. Unfortunately Ms Kavuma’s stay in the house had to come to an end and she parted with her tearful son on Saturday evening.
The pair first shared a sweet moment with Hannington revealing that he would miss her mom.
Then Hannington shared how his mom is “funky” after she showed them her hot pair of glittery sneakers. She asked, “Are they real?” much to Sammi’s amusement. Meanwhile, Sheila won Head of House taking over from Tatiana. One of the nominated housemates Lerato and Munya was supposed to leave the house last night with the evictee heading straight to the Barn. But many twists and turns are expected on the show.
