The Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) multipurpose hall was filled with excitement as hundreds of Indians from the Indian Community in Uganda and Ugandans came together for a remarkable evening of music and charity.

The highly anticipated charity concert, headlined by legendary Indian playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, was a resounding success. Organized by the Bengali Association Uganda (BAUL) and generously sponsored by Plascon Uganda, the event aimed to raise funds for constructing new classroom blocks at Kitante Primary School in Kampala.

The evening began with a heartfelt opening address by the Indian High Commissioner to Uganda, Mr. Upender Singh Rawat, emphasizing the importance of community and charity. This was followed by a captivating curtain-raiser performance by singer Debjani, which energized the crowd and set the stage for the main act.

Daniel Kayongo, Brand Manager of Plascon Paints, reaffirmed the company's commitment to supporting the Indian community in Uganda, citing their history of backing Indian cultural events.

Abhijeet Bhattacharya then took the stage, delivering a nostalgic performance of his greatest hits that had the audience singing along and dancing. His charismatic presence and engaging interaction with the crowd added a personal touch, making the experience unforgettable.
