She caught him cheating and burnt the house
Women can be quite vicious. Not, not quite, very vicious and evil, especially if it is dealing with another woman. Us men seem to understand each other.
And to a larger extent, while we are capable of extreme acts of violence, it is mostly instinctive.
Yes, men are generally more peaceful than women. I know this sounds like a crazy statement, considering that at the centre of all chaos, there is almost always, a man.
At the same time, women are portrayed as peace-loving, gentle beings, the fairer sex.
But no, remember that woman called Eve? The one who sent all of humanity down this path of evil and suffering all those years ago?
Back to women and their viciousness.
This one woman finds her boyfriend of two years in the sack with another woman. It is about 2pm, on a Tuesday afternoon.
He is supposed to be at work but he had called in sick since Monday. Girlfriend had dropped in on Monday at about 6pm, after work, to check on him.
He hadn’t seemed that sick to her, but she was no doctor.
She had told him she would check in on him the again the next day after work, but he should call her if he needed anything, at any time. Such a nice girl! He had promised he would, but instead he didn’t. The next day, he instead called another girl.
Which makes us wonder if he was really sick in the first place, or had taken a short holiday to spend his afternoons romping with this new crazy girl.
It had gone according to plan on Monday and it was supposed to go as equally well on Tuesday, had all factors remained constant.
But with humans, especially women, nothing is ever assured. His girlfriend, the official one, decided that on her way from her lunch break, she should drop in and check on her sick boyfriend.
She even got him some fruits and movies to watch the time away as he recovered. She imagined he would be bored, lying in bed all day.
Yes, he was in bed, but he was far from bored. His other girl was quite the entertainer.
She heard them before she entered the house.
She made her way to the bedroom, where her boyfriend, who was supposed to be sick and resting, seemed to have made a miraculous recovery.
None of them saw her as she looked in, retreated, went to the kitchen, got the can of kerosene and started dousing the living room with it.
She then lit a match, threw it on the sofa set that was now properly soaked in kerosene, and going through the kitchen door, took out the biggest knife she could find.
Then she went outside the house and waited. Waited for them to come out so she could stab them, probably.
In that instant, I think she had lost all grip on sanity.
Predictably, they soon run out of the house that was now on fire, half dressed, screaming, running for their lives.
The other girl run out first, quickly followed by their boyfriend who was supposed to be sick.
Girlfriend lunged towards them, brandishing the knife like a cold-hearted murderer.
But luckily, the neighbours had also seen the fire, and had come to the rescue. They managed to subdue her, and had her arrested.
I think she will be charged with attempted murder and destruction of property.
What strikes me as strange is that she seems to have a sense of regret that she was not able to carry out her evil plan through to the end. Lovers and cheaters, beware of jilted lovers.
