Unwind at Lake Victoria Serena Resort
What you need to know:
In its secluded location, the resort offers a peaceful and scenic view of Lake Victoria. It is a good getaway option.
Sometimes all you will need is a deserved treat over the weekend and Lake Victoria Serena Resort is inviting. It could be for coffee, tea, or a brunch, a swimming session, steam bath, sauna, a soothing massage at the Maisha Mind Body and Spirit Spa Club or a brunch. A weekend away is worth the try at this resort that overlooks the lake.
It blends Uganda’s personalised service, social style and business resoluteness with architectural fusions of classically rustic Roman villas which blend well with the greenery.
This Serena is located in Lweza,Kigo- off Entebbe Road. Alex Maboko is Rooms Division Manager at the resort and says that their services are outstanding.
“We have services represented by our staff the way they are trained to handle guests, the way products are put up to meet customer expectations.
We provide five star services. If you have family we also take care of your children,” Maboko explains.
Expansive
The resorts sits on a chunk of 100 acres of pristine lakeshore on which 112 rooms, 10 states suites and eight executive suites are well-distributed, which says something about smart conceptualisation.
“We have a coliseum, an Italian concept for a party log. It takes about 1000 people it can be used for parties and weddings, it can be used in all aspects,” the manager adds.
Notes for the traveller
But for the traveller there is more. The resort has a luxury marina, the boat basin offering dockage and other service for small craft. You can connect from Entebbe International Airport to the resort. The marina backed by an 18-hole championship golf course and surrounded by a luxury residential complex.
Maboko says that around the Marina, an Italian-inspired lakeside village will feature a Club House with fine-dining restaurant, bar and café terraces, a chandler’s stores and water-sports centre, an ecological education centre and children’s play area.
Leisure options include: sailing, powerboats, jet skis, water-skiing, fishing, nature trails and ornithological tours-where if you want to know about birds.
