360 get First Class at Makerere

Kampala. Makerere University is set to hold its 69th graduation ceremony starting on Tuesday, January 15, to January 18. According to the university academic registrar, Mr Alfred Masikye, a total of 13, 299 students will graduate in different disciplines.

First class
Addressing journalists yesterday, Mr Masikye said 368 students will graduate with First Class degrees.
He said the printing of transcripts is complete but emphasized the need for students to clear fees balances in order to be allowed to graduate.
The Makerere University Vice Chancellor, Prof Barnabas Nawangwe, said: “I wish to clarify that only candidates who have satisfied all graduation requirements within the stipulated time frame will graduate. The requirements include clearance of all outstanding fees, graduation fees among others.”
