KAMPALA.

Police at Kira Division in Wakiso District have taken custody of a boy who says he was abducted from Masaka District for ritual sacrifice, but dumped in Kampala’s Ntinda suburb when his captors found he was circumcised.

“The kidnappers found I was circumcised and said I am not fit for their ritual purpose,” the 14-year-old Ivan Kafeero, a Muslim, told police.

He said three men pounced on him as prepared porridge for the family when his mother was away, sealed his mouth, blindfolded and dragged him to a vehicle.

Kafeero said he was abducted on Monday, last week, driven to various locations and did know how he ended up in Kampala.
Ms Peace Nansamba, the officer in charge Kira police, said they are liaising with counterparts in Masaka to trace the boy’s mother, Betty Nakamya so that he is returned home.
