Gen Tumwine arrives as Gen Sejusa's house remains under siege on Day Two
With Police and Military still deployed at Sejusa's home in Naguru, our reporter at the venue confirms that Gen Elly Tumwine has also arrived and has entered the house.
Prior to Gen Tumwine's arrival, Sejusa's lawyers had called for a press conference at the same venue, but had not yet started. Gen Sejusa's home has been under siege since Friday morning.
While on Capital FM's popular weekend talk show this afternoon, President Museveni said that Gen Sejusa will be handled although not everything will be said in the media.
"Not everything should be said in media. But you will see he will be handled." Mr Museveni said.
Update:
Reports coming from Sejusa's home indicate that Gen Elly Tumwine's car has been driven away alongside the military trucks through another gate at high speed. Its not yet certain if Gen Tumwine was in the car or Gen Sejusa is still in the house but sources close to the house state that the two generals met briefly behind closed doors.
One of the lawyers to Gen Sejusa Mr David Mushabe confirms that Sejusa is still in the house. Meanwhile the military has left the premises but the police remains deployed.
Update 2:31pm
Gen Elly Tumwine has left the house after a brief discussion with Gen Sejusa. A close source says that the matters of their discussion are private and not to be revealed. Sejusa and his lawyers await to hear from Tumwine who is said to have taken feedback to President Museveni.
Update2:39pm
