Hundreds of people in Kikuube district received free medical services and check-ups during a two-day health camp at Buhuka Health Centre III.

Mr Liu Xiangdong, President of CNOOC Uganda Limited, said, "We are honored to host this medical camp, which reflects our commitment to the well-being of the Ugandan people and the strengthening of China-Uganda relations. We aim to contribute to Uganda's socio-economic development and enhance our friendship as we work towards energy for a better future."
The camp focused on providing essential healthcare services to local communities, emphasizing early screening and treatment of congenital heart diseases. CNOOC also donated medicine and pediatric supplies to Buhuka Health Centre III, ensuring continued support for ongoing healthcare services.
Mr Opio Vincent Alpha, Vice Chairperson of Kikuube district, expressed heartfelt appreciation to CNOOC Uganda Limited for their support, saying, "We are deeply grateful for their unwavering support and dedication to our community's health and well-being. This medical camp has a profound impact on our people's lives, fostering a stronger relationship between Uganda and China."
Mr Wang Jianxun, Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Chinese Embassy, noted, "China's commitment to supporting Africa's development is evident in initiatives like this medical camp, aiming to achieve sustainable development, improve public health, and build a community with a shared future for mankind."
Community beneficiary Mr John Byensi appreciated CNOOC's efforts, saying, "They always come to our communities, providing essential services and support. We are grateful for their dedication to our well-being."
