One killed, three injured in a hit and run accident in Entebbe

One person has been knocked dead and three others injured in an accident along the Kampala – Entebbe road. The accident happened on Friday morning at Abayita.

The deceased and the injured according to an eye witness Ritah Nakazibwe were crossing the road at the Kitinda Junction. They were revelers from Lwasa’s Bar at Abayita Ababiri in Katabi town council.

“They were drunk and rushed into crossing the road. A speeding motor vehicle from Kampala rammed into them,” Nakazibwe indicated.

The deceased has been identified as Henry Kasasa, a resident of Kabale – Abayita Abayita while the injured include Richard Kalule, Hannington Mukasa, and Robert Musiige, all residents of Kitinda, Katabi town council.

Charles Musinguzi, a traffic officer in Entebbe says police is hunting for the driver.

He says that with the help of the CCTV cameras, he will be easily identified.
