Pupils arrest head teacher for defiling their colleague
KATAKWI- Pupils of Okokorio Primary School in Katakwi District have arrested their head teacher for allegedly defiling their colleague.
According to the pupils, their head teacher who was later detained at Katakwi Central Police Station, was found defiling a 15-year-old girl. The teacher was reportedly found defiling the girl in his house.
The children reportedly surrounded the house and a commotion ensued as they blocked him from escaping.
Mr James Oriokot, a member of the Parent Teachers Association of the school, told Daily Monitor it is not the first time, the head teacher has committed a similar crime.
He alleged that the suspect recently defiled an 11-year-old girl but he reportedly compromised police officers at Toroma Police Post and the parents who lost interest in the case.
“As parents, we feel it’s high time, he is prosecuted to deter other teachers who are defiling pupils,”
Mr Okwaput said.
He said the suspect has been using the presence of a mini boarding facility for Primary Seven pupils at the school, to sexually exploit girls.
The area police spokesperson, Mr Michael Odongo said the suspect would be charged with aggravated defilement.
