Two feared dead as boat capsizes in Lake Albert

Two fishermen are feared dead after their boat capsized in the Lake Albert in Kigorobya Sub County, Hoima district.
Local police have identified the victims as one, Okechi, 50 and another one only identified as Mr Tundulu,45. The two victims are residents of Runga landing site in Kibiro parish Kigorobya Sub County in Hoima District.

They are said to have drowned when a strong wind hit their fishing boat forcing it to capsize killing them instantly.
One of the survivors said ‘‘at the time of the accident, we were three fishermen but I managed to escape and I was rescued by fishermen who heard me making an alarm.’’

At the time of filing this story, the search for their bodies was going on by fishermen attached to Runga landing site.
In early April this year, four people, three of whom were pupils of Katalemwa primary school in Bwikara Sub County, Kagadi District drowned in Lake Albert after their boat was shattered by a hippopotamus.
