Uganda deejay Momo dies
Shocking news that carry grief Friday poured out announcing the passing of veteran turn-table ace deejay Momo. Momo, real name Moses Nsereko, has been ill with intestinal complications.
In his last facebook post, dated March 31st Momo said: “Been a bad week for me, was hospitalised, almost died but then God gave me another chance alhamdu lillah. Special thanks go to my immediate and extended family for physical, financial and emotional support may God bless u.”
He went on: ”Thank u all my friends who visited me, sent me a get well soon message and those who prayed for me and lastly to my haters…”
On Friday afternoon, social media was awash with messages of his death. A close friend, deejay Apeman says Momo was initially treated in Kampala but was flown to India for an operation. He died in India.
At the time of his death, Momo was a deejay at Guvnor, Ange Noir and also showed his enviable music-mixing skills at Club Rouge. He is survived by two children and a wife.
