UPDF soldier kills girlfriend

A UPDF soldier in Mbuya Zone 5, a Kampala suburb has shot and killed his girlfriend before turning the gun on himself.
Private Niwagaba James attached to the ministry of defense allegedly shot his girlfriend after a domestic squabble on Tuesday morning.
Police has recovered 20 bullet cartridges and 10 bullets from the deceased’s’ house.
The two bodies have been taken to Mulago Hospital mortuary as investigations into the shooting commence.
This is the second incident in which a soldier shoots and kills their partner this month. On February 14, Lt. David Okumu, 45, the Busanza detach commander in Kisoro district shot and killed his wife. He killed himself after. However, investigations into the death continue.
