Paidha face tall order at Kitende

Kampala. Even without their current administrative woes, Paidha’s trip to face champions Vipers, was already deemed a difficult task.
The newly promoted side go into today’s game bottom of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with four points from eight games.
But matters were made worse this week when former chairman Robert Jakony returned from DR Congo claiming ownership from interim chairperson Rasul Oryem.
The latter was appointed to run the club on an interim basis till June next year.
The incident is the latest off field distraction at the club that is also experiencing divisions among players.
That could all play into Vipers hands as the two teams meet this evening at the St. Mary’s Stadium.
Paidha was the first team to record victory at the ground two seasons ago when Fred Amaku inspired a 1-0 win.
But the striker has since moved on and Julius Malingumu who had taken over the mantle is out injured. Vipers have drawn their last three games and are currently fourth with 15 points, one behind leaders Mbarara and will go top with victory.
They will however be without Cranes players Tadeo Lwanga and Moses Waiswa who were expected to return with the team from Nigeria last evening.
Coach Javier Martinez who is under pressure for failure to win the last three games is however expected to be without strikers Davis Kasirye and Steven Mukwala, the latter who returned injured with the national under-23 team.
Vipers, who will after this game travel to Khartoum for the CAF Champions League game, warmed up to the game with a 4-0 win over Kampala Region League side Spartans. Tito Okello grabbed a hat-trick while Abraham Ndugwa scored the other.
