Some politicians and political commentators say Uganda's attempt at credible free and fair elections remains a challenge due to the lack of what they see as an independent electoral commission. According to the member of parliament for Kira municipality, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda says opposition attempts at winning a poll are affected by the continued high handed involvement of government officials in polling activities.
