Buliisa Health facilities overcrowded and undermanned

Buliisa District Local Government is grappling with inadequate infrastructure and a shortage of health workers in most of its health facilities.

The district's health sector staffing level stands at 40.1%. According to Dr. Alex Afeti, the acting Buliisa District Health Officer, the existing facilities are overcrowded due to the lack of proper structures. He cites Biiso Health Center IV, where male and female patients have been sharing a ward.
