Following a blood shortage at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital, the Jinja Blood Bank and the Jinja Indian Association of Uganda have launched a drive to collect over 2,000 units of blood. Adonai Nanyumba from the Uganda Transfusion Blood Bank explained that schools are the primary donors of blood, but the holiday season has made it challenging to collect sufficient donations.
