Uganda’s public debt has soared to 86.6 trillion shillings beyond the internationally acceptable threshold of 50 per cent. Uganda’s debt has risen to 53 per cent of GDP beyond the Debt ceiling as required by the International Monetary Fund. Auditor General John Muwanga presented an audit report to the speaker of parliament this morning.
