2016 Gomesi guide. Busuuti ruled the women’s fashion when the 10th Parliament was sworn in. The female MPs went shopping for the latest gomesi trends. Take a look, writes Esther Oluka.

Traditional wear was the preferred code of dressing for most Women Members of Parliament throughout the three-day swearing-in ceremony. The gomesi seems to have been the most worn.

What to avoid
•Wearing the same colour of sash as the gomesi as the sash fails to stand out.
•Wearing ill-fitting gomesi, too big or short.
•Dressing in the wrong colours, for instance, a dark skinned person putting a bright colour such as orange instead of a more neutral colour like coffee brown. Find out which colours work for your skin complexion.
• Improper wearing which makes them a nuisance the whole day.
