Dear Banet,
After the kidneys form urine, it is stored in a sac called the urinary bladder which when it fills up, one will get an urge to pass urine failure of which will lead to pain in the lower abdomen because the bladder gets over stretched.
Though everyone is different, most people urinate seven or eight times in 24 hours after taking about two litres of fluids. Urinating more often than this may be referred to as a urinary frequency. Urinary tract infections, a prostate enlargement or infection, bladder stones, and stress and anxiety commonly cause urinary frequency.
The kidney being a regulator of water in the body may form more urine if one takes in more fluids. That said one may not have taken lots of fluids but then passes lots of urine (polyuria) like when one is suffering from diabetes. These need to be checked through a blood check or a urine check.
Though the size of glass is not mentioned, feeling like passing urine immediately after taking a glass of water may be a normal way the body tries to eliminate excess water taken in order to prevent flooding of the body tissues, especially the brain and lungs with health consequences.
You do not need do anything, therefore if you are checked and found normal for both types of diabetes and for good measure urinary tract infections, a prostate enlargement or bladder stones.
