The Debwaz Ambassadors’ prom
What you need to know:
The prom happens annually in the second week of December. It brings together Debwaz representatives from all high schools in the country. The prom creates more room for interaction, networking, brain storming, socialising, sharing experiences and of course partying after a long academic atmosphere at shule.
The last Debwaz prom of this kind was graced with glamorous outfits, sumptuous kimere and ka danke. Emmanuel Makeri jazzes us.
The prom happens annually in the second week of December. It brings together Debwaz representatives from all high schools in the country. The prom creates more room for interaction, networking, brain storming, socialising, sharing experiences and of course partying after a long academic atmosphere at shule. On December 11, 2009, it happened all over again.
The event was heated up by big names from the 2009 talent fest. It started at 12p.m. with parents dropping their daughters and sons at Hotel International Muyenga in Kampala. The posh environment was equally matched with dudes and shawties clad in corporate suits and party dresses. The ambassadors were treated to a sumptuous lunch buffet.
Miss Prom 2009, Veronica Kiyingi from Rubaga Gals and Mr Prom, Paul Chemyolei, a Mwirian, opened the dance with killer grooves. DJ Ally did the mixing and the jig occupied every dude and shawty until 6p.m. Contacts were exchanged and hasty goodbyes waved.
