A mammoth top-of-the-table clash between leaders Wakiso Giants and Light SS Soroti at Amuria High School grounds will highlight today’s round of games of the Fufa Big League. Light SS, who have lost their previous two games, have slipped to the third place but coach Simon Otim vowed to continue working with the end view of securing promotion.
Facing probably the biggest contenders, Light SS hosts Wakiso Giants at Amuria High School. The Soroti side lost their last game 2-1 as Bukedea came from behind to beat them but for coach Otim, they will continue to build on the momentum of home success.
All three games at home have gone their way save for the goalless draw against Nebbi Central on the opening day. In all those games, they have kept a clean sheet. He now has a clean bill of health as he welcomes five of his starters. They include lead striker Godfrey Otika, midfielders Erickson Akena and Daniel Opio as well as defenders Geoffrey Lubangakene and Emmanuel Odur.
Lawrence Olaboro is their lead striker but their eight goals have come by a committee with left back Daniel Otim has scored two goals.
“This is a decider and I have confidence we shall win. I have seen them play and I am not worried about them,” Otim said.
